Moments before we were supposed to roll, everything went wrong. The Sony A7S III was connected to our Atomos Ninja V with an Atomos Connect Camera to Cloud (C2C) module in place, and everything looked great. But the moment we tried to record, nothing would save to the card. After a few minutes of troubleshooting, I discovered it was unexpected behavior of the C2C Connect module - even though we weren't using it that day, having C2C present while not in use was somehow breaking the recording chain. I removed it, problem solved.

Just another day in video production - the fancier the tech stack, the more creative the ways it can break. But that's half the job: staying calm, troubleshooting systematically, and getting the shot no matter what.
