This is an interview with Deepak Chopra, hosted by Joshua Rosenthal. It was shot in the Fillmore Auditorium in Miami, FL, on April 15, 2018, as part of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's IIN Live 2018 conference. The most popular anecdote from the weekend that everyone told and retold was that rather than arriving backstage and being quickly ushered into the building, Dr. Chopra casually walked into the front lobby alone, looked around, and asked someone if they knew where the stage was. But I digress.

This interview was conducted backstage, after his keynote presentation. We spent the weekend shooting interviews like this, and built a makeshift studio in the auditorium's green room for the purpose.

When you spend the weekend shooting interviews, you never know what challenges are going to walk through your door. In this case, we were given one Talent wearing head-to-toe black, another wearing almost all white, and both are wearing glasses. And we were shooting in front of a blown-out white background, with three 4k cameras.

As you can see from the result, careful lighting, flagging and grading gets the job done. You can see detail in Dr. Chopra's outfit, you can see shadows and texture in Mr. Rosenthal's white jacket, and there are no reflections in either of their eyeglasses. The final result delivers broadcast-quality standards despite the challenging setup constraints.
